A fantastic book that I had to make myself put down in order to get a couple of hours sleep, then I woke up early just to read more! It is a funny and sometimes painful book about an overweight woman who becomes a contestant on a reality show called Fat to Fabulous. This book is a really truthful fictionalized account of being fat in a society that loves thin. An excellent read...5 stars!

The Next Big Thing was actually better than I expected it to be. My friend, being a little overweight, bought the book and read it and then told me about it saying that "it wasn't as good as she expected, but go ahead and give it a try". So I did and I loved it! It was great! I really got into it and couldn't put it down once I started. It has a great ending and a very easy-to-relate-to main character. Loved it!

I thought this was a very fun and entertaining book. For a former "chubby" girl who was working to loose weight and keep it off... it reminded me that no matter what size I could keep my chin up :D

I enjoyed this book...there was a good mix of likeable and unlikeable characters...and there was always the feeling that something was going to happen to the main character so it kept me interested. I would say it's a good pick for those who like Weiner or Weisberger chick lit.

Funny and touching story of a size 18 woman in love with a man she met online - who thinks she's a size four. When offered a chance to lose weight on a nationally-aired reality show, she jumps at the chance.
I loved the way the authors hooked us in to the female characters. They were richly drawn and a delight to follow. I'd read more from this author.

It was a great chick-lit type of book if you like Jennifer Weiners books then you will love this one it's along the same line.

Good book! I enjoyed the "inside" story of a reality show. It was interesting to see how the public perceived Kat, which is not what she expected at all. Better than typical chick lit, a lesson for us all about misconceptions and expectations concerning weight.

This a new author for me. I enjoyed the book a LOT! I could relate to some of what the main character was going through. It had some surprisings twists and turns, which I also like in a book. Nice quick read.

a quick, cute read about a fat girl who becomes a contestant on a reality tv show - "from fat to fabulous". in the end she realizes that her weight was the least of her prollems, yet it took her loosing a few pounds to realize that she could no longer blame her weight for her lifes problems.
