Victims become suspects, suspects become victims. In this 3rd outing, Cleo opens up the Village Blend for New York Fashion week. On the evening of Lottie Harmons party Tuckers ex-boyfriend is poisoned by a drink that was intended for Lottie. Cleo takes it upon herself to prove Tuckers innocence only to get in the middle of something that is much bigger then she is. This story stumbles and twists along (with a couple of editing mistakes) until the twisted ending in which you have to be paying attention to get all the complexities. Not to mention whether Matteo is really wanting to change or not. I enjoy this series, the characters are familiar and it's nice to revisit them.

Enjoyed this book. Has very good surprise ending in last chapter. Highly recommend if you like good mystery.

This was a great book, actually the first Coffehouse mystery I read and now I'm hooked! At a party for a designer unveiling jewelry based on coffee (which was inspired by the coffeehouse the book centers around, The Village Blend) barista Tucker serves a latte that turns out to be poisoned- and kills Tucker's ex-boyfriend's new lover! Clare, owner of the coffe shop, suspects the poison was actually meant for the designer Lottie, and she goes on an investigation to find the culprit and motive. The story also centers around Fashion Week in NYC, so if you enjoy good mysteries with great twists, fashion and ESPECIALLY coffee- check this book out! As all of these books do, the back of the book contains pages of recipes for yummy coffee drinks and desserts that go along with them. A real treat in every sense of the word!

In what often seems an over-crowded field of American "niche mysteries," this series about a New York coffeehouse called the Village Blend is a standout. Clare Cosi, her ex-husband, and his mother are all appealing and different and the combination of coffee and fashion in Latte Trouble is great.

This is the third in the coffeehouse series, and so far, it has been my favorite one so far. It may have to do with the fact that Clare Cosi is closer to my age, I believe she is 40, so she seems more real to me than other characters in cozy mysteries. Her relationship with her ex-husband is another mystery in itself... will they finally get it together, or are they destined to remain just business partners? Guess I will have to keep reading to find out!

This series is very easy to read because it has a great story line plus trivia history that I enjoy. Starting from the beginning really gets you involved with everyone.

Another awesome book in the coffeehouse series!

A manager of the historic Village Blend coffeehouse, Clare Cosi is an expert when it comes to steaming foamy cappuccino and press a perfect pot of Jamaica Blue Mountain. But suddenly she finds herself dealing with a mystery that is too hot to handle.

Nice cozy mystery. The author finally stopped giving coffee info lectures and just gives bits here and there.

I love this coffeehouse series and look forward to many more of them. In this one, Clare's favorite barista is accused of the poisoning death of one of their customers~~a famous jewelry designer. Very good read with lots of twists and turns.

The 3rd book in one of my favorite series. Love the characters and the ending is always a surprise. i don't know how she does it!

I've read all of these books and can't wait for the next one. I don't even drink coffee, but still love this series

Although I love all of the Coffeehouse books and characters, this one stretched it out just a little far for me. A well written book, it just got too far away from the fun facts and involvement around coffee and tried to reach further into another arena. Also, when the muder was finally solved - it was so far out there - almost nothing in the story could have led you to the solution. But somehow it was more of "what?" - then an "Aha!" moment.

I could not get beyond page 5. I guess just not my type of book.

Cleo Coyle writes an entertaining, well developed mystery in Latte Trouble. I have long wanted to read one of her books and this one became the first. It will not be the last. Her style is easy to read and the storyline moves right along. She provides enough detail to set each scene, but doesn't get lost in minutia. It's also easy to see where the next story can take off from the end of this one.
