Re-reading this book as an adult, I found some of the story lacking in areas....
BUT as a teen girl that read and re-read this book over and over when I was 14-15-16 years old, I loved the book. It is a good YA book, that adults might find lacking, but teen girls can't get enough of. And the vampires in the book are unique, instead of being the dark gothic vamps with black hair and white skin, they have silver hair.... and a albino look about them. This was my first vampire book and set into motion a life long love of pharanormal/vampire type novels!

Ehhh. Blood and Chocolate was MUCH better. The characters were underdeveloped and the ending unsatisfying.
For a truly amazing vampire novel, I would recommend any of the vampire chronicals by Anne Rice.

This was an entertaining book. The plot seems underdeveloped at times but I did enjoy it overall.

This is a lovely atmospheric story of a teenage girl and the vampire who, it turns out, loves her. Unexpected ending. Satisfying read.

A YA vampire novel...
17-year old Zoe's mother is dying of cancer, her father is emotionally shut down away from her, and her best friend is moving away...
Then she meets a mysterious and attractive young man in the park late at night... unknown to her, Simon is actually a 17th-century vampire on a quest to destroy his murderous younger brother, also a vampire...
a quick read....

This is by the author of 'Blood & Chocolate', and is an awsome read about a vampire that will make you sympathize with it by the end of the book.

Zoe is wary when, in the dead of night, the beautiful yet frightening Simon comes to her house. Simon seems to understand the pain of loneliness and death and Zoe's brooding thoughts of her dying mother.
Simon is one of the undead, a vampire, seeking revenge for the gruesome death of his mother three hundred years before. Does Simon dare ask Zoe to help free him from this lifeless chase and its insufferable loneliness?

dark, brooding tale of a young girl who falls for a somber vampire.

This is a really good vampire story. My favorite book by this author is Blood and Chocolate, but if you're not in the mood for werewolfs, try this one.
