Marsha Canham almost never disappoints, and this book is no exception.
I was hooked from the first chapter and just couldn't put it down. It's something of a Zorro meets the Scarlet Pimpernel type of story, with a twist: the canny heroine doesn't need this hunky hero to take off his mask (or in this case, put it on) to know who he is. Unlike that nearsighted ninny Lois Lane, she spots her Superman right off the bat. She tries hard to resist him, and he tries even harder not to be the good guy, much less fall in love, but it's pretty apparent they're both fighting a losing battle from the start. If you're looking for a romantic adventure, with realistically nasty bad guys, and a hero & heroine truly worthy of each other, don't miss this one. It's a keeper!

This is classic Marsha Canham. I've never read a book of hers I didn't love. Tyrone is one of the most honest heroes I've come across in a long while; and he's absolutely convinced he's no good for anyone, and boy does Renee prove him wrong! She's just perfect for him. She's smart and compassionate; and when she falls for him she holds nothing back. Highly recommended.

very good historical romance about a highwayman and a french noblewoman in exile. Very good, but I would have liked for the H&H to spend more time together and get to know each other better. Lots of action & adventure.
