Book Description:
Maggie Ivey is about to make the best mistake of her life.

A struggling twenty-six-year-old single mom, Maggie Ivey is just trying to keep it all together. She's got a lecherous boss, a dead-end job, and a worried mother who just wants her to move back home to Georgia. Maggie's prospects look dim, until a friend signs her up for the famous Dr. Jason Golding's 21-Day Overhaul. The first session seems to go perfectly. Dr. Golding is warm, sensitive, and a terrific listener. There's only one problem: The handsome man in Dr. Golding's chair isn't Dr. Golding. In fact, he's not even a therapist; he's Jake Cooper, a contractor hired to remodel the office. But all Maggie knows is that talking to him helps her feel better. And Jake doesn't quite know how to let Maggie in on the secret. Will he eventually confess to his ruse? Will she discover the truth on her own? And the most important question of all: Can a Handyman fix a broken heart?

A charming romance that hinges on a case of mistaken identity. Maggie Ivey is a single mom struggling to hold it all together. When a friend signs her up for the famous Dr. Golding's 21-Day Overhaul, she leaves the first session full of hope. Dr. Golding seems to be warm, sensitive, a great listener, and gorgeous. What she doesn't realize is that this man isn't even a doctor--he's really the contractor hired to remodel his office. The real question is, can a handyman repair a broken heart?

This sweet story is hard to put down--a fun one to read at Valentine's or any time of year when you want some happily-ever-after.

Loved it. Obviously one of her early efforts (perhaps first published title?. Linda Nichols writes so well and gives great insight into her characters. This book did not disappoint. The humor was wry and well woven into the plot.

I read this book only because Nicholas Sparks put it on his list to "read". I read it and it was hard to stay reading it. Once you got 3/4 of the way through the book it was great and hard to put down because you wanted to "finally" see how it all ended. It is a great book to take with you on the airplane.

This is an early book by Linda Nichols. I have read all of her books and enjoyed them. This one was not written as Christian fiction and is not as good as her other books. I still enjoyed it, though I was a little disappointed that it did not have the depth that In Search of Eden and her other books do.
