This is the second time now that I've been a bit disappointed with a book in this series. I had really hoped it would be better than the last one (The Immortal Highlander), but it's really just more of the same. The stories just keep going "Oh, no! We have a deadly problem! Let's run to Castle MacKelter!" It's really getting old and it makes me not look forward to the future books that will eventually come out in this series. (As is promised by the author.)

This is book 8 in the series. I just love these time travel romance novels. KMM takes me back to a time when romance novels where more descriptive and sexual. In fact I even recently received Fantasy Lover by Sherrilyn Kenyon and can't wait to read it as I was told this is very similar to KMM.
The story into which Spell of the Highlander is embedded is fascinating. It is a story that spans KMM's Highlander series, and leads into her brand new 'Fever' series. The book is worth reading just to understand key elements of this overall epic! In fact it is a must have.
Cian is a powerful Druid, and there are reasons to believe that his time being trapped in the mirror was by design, to bring him forward, with his kinsmen, also trapped in the 21st century from the 16th century, to fight an epic battle that is still to come in the series. But the fun part is watching this arrogant former Celtic Laird from the 9th century make adjustments to dealing with a modern woman and modern society. He is an old fashioned man with the manners of a caveman, but also one of the most compelling characters in this genre today. And watching him interact with his kinsmen, protagonists from other books by the same author, is priceless!

This is a great book, I got it on a whim and was so glad I did. It is a series of books dealing with magic and highlanders and the women they meet. The story lines are amazing and the characters are well-developed. The sex is so fantastic. I love a good story and even better with some great fantastic drawn out sex. So, if are secretly wishing for a man who knows what he wants and demands it, then you had better get yourself hooked onto this series.

This book was awesome! I read it cover to cover in one night; I couldn't put it down...a definite page turner.

Cian MacKelter's story. Best one of the series.

Who wouldn't like to look in an antique mirror and find a sexy hunk who asks you to release him. When Jessie does so he can save her life, the adventure is just starting. Magic mirrors and an ancestor to the MacKeltar men from the earlier books....yum.

I loved this book. The entire series is amazing. I'm not into time travel books, but this series made me think twice. The author created a series that linked the stories without creating a carbon copy each time. I've read some series that the stories were too a like. Not here. They are very different stories, but seems to be able to relate them in an interesting way. I can't wait to read more of her books.
