Book Description:
Successful author Amy Slater had a life in need of mending. And Jed Glaze proved to be the right man for the job after the pair hit it off as fabulously good friends. Then one day Jed shows up with a mysterious injury of his own--and suddenly dark, confounding, yet utterly irresistible Jed becomes a lot more than "just a friend." Now it's a time for not only mutual healing and delightfully sensuous nights but for sharing secrets that could prove a little dangerous for them both. On a jaunt to a Pacific Island paradise, Amy and Jed will unearth the key to the unsolved murder that has haunted Amy's nights--and discover how surprisingly and exquisitely fated two seemingly mismatched hearts can be.

Jayne Ann Krenz (aka Amanda Quick) does a good job of developing the platonic friendship of a man and woman into love. The man has a mysterious job and disappears for long periods of time---the woman writes science fiction novels. A trip to a South Pacific island and some harrowing escapades seal the deal. JAK did a nice job on this book.

Amy Slater and Jed Glaze are maintaining a careful friendship, until Jed arrives home from his latest assignment and needs Amy's help. When Amy realizes how badly Jed has been hurt, she begins to acknowledge the attraction she has felt for him during the last three months. Jed wants more than friendship from Amy, but hasn't quite determined how to maintain a carefree existence at the same time. This is a good read from one of my favorite authors.

Early Krentz novel about a writer who becomes the lover of a mystery man. Good, but great

Any enjoyable read from the always reliable JAK. Good strong characters, an interesting plot and nice locale. Perfect way to spend an evening or two.

When strictly platonic dates turn into something more, Amy told him about her own past when her last boyfriend was murdered...

Successful author Amy Slater has a life in need of mending. And Jed Glaze proves to be the right man for the job after the pair hit it off as favulously good friends. Then one day Jed shows up with a mysterious injury and suddenly Admy's dark, confounding, yet utterly irresistible companion becomes a lot more than "just a friend". Now sharing delightfully sensuous nights together, they will uncover dark secrets that may be dangerous for them both. On a jaunt to a Pacific island paradise, Amy and Jed will unearth the key to the unsolved murder that has haunted Amy's nights - and discover how surprisingly and exquisitely fated two seemingly mismatched hearts can be.

This was a good one - suspenseful and exciting, and sensuous too.
