Katie Wilkinson has found the man of her dreams. One day he disappears from her life, leaving only a diary for her to read. This diary is a love letter from a young mother to her infant son. The more Katie reads, the more she realizes that Matt, her boyfriend, is the husband and father in this young family.
Good love story with all kinds of twists and turns.

Katie Wilkinson has finally found her perfect man...He's everything she's imagined she wanted. But one day, he unexpectedly disappears from her life leaving her only a diary to read.
This diary is a love letter written by a new mother, Suzanne. As Katie reads the diary, she realizes that the man who just left her is the husband and father. She reads on, struggling to understand what has happened, and to find out if her new love has any hope of surviving.

Wonderful book but don't read it without a tissue handy!

If you're looking for typical James Patterson fare, keep looking. When I read this book I was amazed that it was written by the same James Patterson who writes the books of mystery, intrigue, murder, and crime... How someone can transition from that genre to this is mind boggling to me. He's truly just a gifted author to be able to write so well in both genres.
This is just the sweetest story... Well, actually bittersweet. If you can get through this without feeling some tugs at your heartstrings, well then, I think just a tiny piece of your soul might be missing.
If you like this book, you'll like Sam's Letters to Jennifer, also by Patterson. It's sort of like a Nicholas Sparks novel, only (in my own opinion) better written, (and I like a good Nicholas Sparks every so often).
You know, I just listed Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas and Sam's Letters to Jennifer on my PBS booklist, but I think I need to read then both again before someone requests them.

Loved it! It's a fast read - I started and finished on a flight from Chicago to Fresno - I turned to my husband at the end and, bawling, told him I loved him and gave him a big hug!!!

This is a sweet little story with no bad guys. It's all about love. I read this book in one day: every time I put it down, I couldn't wait to pick it back up again. Probably everyone in the world read it before I did, because it was a NY Times number one best seller.

A sweet book. After reading all the reviews, I expected a real tearjerker. It was predictable to me. Not the great love story that I thought it would be. One of the main reasons I read it was I wanted to see the movie, so I figured I would read it first. Now I'm not sure I want to see the movie. Just didn't move me like I had hoped.
