G is for Gumshoe (Kinsey Millhone, Bk 7) Author:Sue Grafton
Book Description:
"G" is for Gumshoe. "G" is also for guilt and guile, greed and grief, and the grim reaper.
Three things happened to Kinsey Millhone on May 5th -- the day she turned 33: the reconstruction of her apartment was completed; she was hired by a Mrs. Clyde Gersh to bring her mother back from the Mojave desert; and she made one of the top slots on Tyrone Patty's hit list. Obviously, it would turn out to be a birthday to remember.
Santa Teresa's favorite P.I. is, once again, on a case at the heart of which is a long-buried betrayal -- and someone would like nothing better than to bury Kinsey along with it.

Kinsey Millhone again, but better. She gets better with each case!

This is a great story in the "Kinsey Millhone Series". This mystery kept me turning the pages and I finished the book in two days! Could not put it down! Sue Grafton's description of her surroundings and her ability to create "humorous characters" keeps the story rolling!

I thoroughly enjoyed the characterization in this book, especially that of the crazy mother who, at the beginning of the book, is missing in the desert. The second mystery is that someone is trying to kill Kinsey! I loved there being a double plot to this one. Kudos to Grafton!
Grafton's Kinsey Millhone series keeps getting better. I couldn't put this book down, but didn't want it to end. There are a couple intertwining plots that keep you guessing.

I've never really gotten into mystery novels until I picked up Sue Grafton. Her books are all highly entertaining and now I look forward to finding good mysteries.

Classic Grafton. Part of a series, but stands well on it's own. Good plot, well-written, finely crafted mystery.

My favorite one of the series so far, although from the way it's looking I'll say that about each one as I read it.

7th book in the series. Kinsey solves a 40 year old mystery that is full of murder and coverups. She meets a man and becomes intimate with him. Making you wonder about her relationship with Jonah.
