Book Description:
"Giving up my socialite life to get a real job writing a society column for a Philadelphia newspaper hasn't worked out as well as I had hoped. The developers want to turn the Blackbird estate into an outlet mall. My eccentric sisters are convinced I need a dog, a baby... or a keeper. And now I'm falling hard for a Jersey tough guy with criminal connections. On top of my family feuding, one of the city's nouveau-riche has just been murdered and I could be a prime suspect. What would Emily Post do?"

When a high society jewel thief winds up drowned at the bottom of a pool with a tacky garden gnome tied to her ankles, Nora must swing into action to save her old flame, Flan Cooper, from a murder charge. But then a politically ambitious millionaire with hushed-up secrets, a dotty grande-dame with a penchant for polo teams, and a cat fancier who keeps a gun with his silver tea set all steer suspicion onto Nora herself. It's enough to make the blue bloods turn pale! Nora must find the killer on her own, or risk trading her grandmother's couture for an orange jumpsuit. All in an ex-debutante's day's work, Nora. All in a day's work.

2nd in series...Entertaining story of 3 sisters and their adventures solving murder...Each story is humorous with intelligent story lines and just the right amount of twists and turns in the plot...highly recommended for folks who like to follow the same characters from book to book.

The 2nd in the Blackbird Sisters Mysteries. Very well done. I enjoyed this even more than the first one. It was nice to see the characters develop further, especially the relationship between Nora & Michael.

Nora Blackbird is asked by the young police detective for help again. A young woman is found dead in the bottom of a pool with officials saying it is a suicide but Nora and the young detective know better. Meanwhile, Libby, Nora's sister, is due to have her baby any minute so Nora needs to keep tabs on her too. Some very funny parts in this book and I am loving the budding romance between Nora and Michael.

I thought this was a much better read than the first book in this series, How to Murder a Millionaire. Those sisters are a hoot! Nora solves the murder of a high society jewel thief.

I liked this book much better than the first one. It held my interest early on. The sisters are hilarious and get mixed up in so much trouble! I'm looking forward to reading the next book in the series.
