One of my favorites by Little as it almost seems that something like this could happen to you. Not an every day concern of course, but it's not that far fetched of an idea as you're reading the book. Good creepy plot!

Another great story by Bentley Little. If you aren't real fond of Insurance Company's in general you'll like this story. Just be glad Insurance Companys don't really have this kind of power!

Just sign on the dotted line, Hunt Jackson at the end of his rope figured this policy for a good deal. Until the insurance company starts to abuse him over the phone, vandalizes your home and authorize treatment to isolated hospital.. One more thing if they require a pound of flesh for our investment don't bother to run it's just the POLICY...

Unemployed, divorced, and living in a new state, Hunt Jackson would be considered a resk by most insurance companies. Lucky for him, he's found one that will take him. All he has to do is sign on the dotted line--and note the minor provisions:
If we abuse you over the phone, don't hang up.
If we vandalize your home, don't get mad.
If we authorize treatment at an isolated hospital that's
strangely empty, don't get scared.
One more thing:
If we require a pound of flesh for our investment, don't bother
running. It's just....The Policy
