One of the best I've read this year

I liked this book b/c the I liked the sparring between the characters. I liked the emotions behind the characters actions. I hope to read the whole series. C J Barry is great!

I enjoyed this story, full of giggles but with a serious action & romance plot. Lacery has reasons not to trust her heart, but she's forgetting them all around Zain.
Zain is an interplanetary explorer (conveniently looks 100% human) who is stranded on a desert planet where some big defense lasers are hiding a big secret. Zain finds Lacey on the internet (where else) and thinks she might be able to help him decipher the bizarre ancient ruins that are the key to escaping the planet. But Zain's sentient ship is losing power, and after he transports her to his location they are both stranded. As enemies close in from the distant stars, Zain and Lacey need to find answers fast--and discover whether they can truly trust one another in the imminent life-and-death showdown.

excellent futuristic romance series. Loosely tied together, they don't need to be read in any order but this is the 3rd in the series
