This was a charming little Regency romance, but it has been done before (and better) with the 'Mrs. Whistledown' series.

"A Dash of Scandal" by Amelia Grey 2002
Reading a scandal Sheet was abhorrent to Millicent Blair, much less writing for one, but she found herself in that position in London during the Season.
Chandler, The Earl of Dunraven, wondered what in the world was this country girl, Miss Blair sneaking off to write? Mellicent was writing notes to herself on the back of her Dance Card.
Then you have the Mad Ton Thief thrown in who stole a Golden Raven from Chandler and the fun begins. Happy Reading! ReadingGenie

I have loved Lady Lynette who has been a secondary character in all of the Amelia Grey books. Dash of Scandal, Hint of Seduction & Taste of Temptation all focus on the Terrible Threesome's stories however the characters are mentioned again in Little Mischief (book after Dash of Scandal) as well as Lady Lynette. What I have enjoyed about Grey's books is that they all have the love at first sight notion & the characters struggling to come to terms with the idea of love. She also adds some fun with the notorious scandal sheets on the "ton" reminding me a little of Lady Whistledown (Julia Quinn). They are quick fun reads. I look forward to reading more of her books.

Great book. The main characters were very likeable and charming. Chandler Preswick was adorable the way he acted like a lovesick schoolboy, sneaking around to try to see Millicent, rather than an experienced rake and confirmed bachelor. I liked the fact that both characters were always honest about how they felt about each other. There wasn't any coyness or heavy drama, just a lot of witty and fun banter. It was entertaining to read their interactions. They were both clever and sweet characters. Altogether it was a fun regency romance to read that leaves you feeling light and with a smile on your face.
