The plot could use a bit of refining, the prose could use a bit of refining, the editing could use a bit of refining... you get my drift? Characters are nicely developed, and the action sequences were well researched. I am aware that there are five books in this series, but it is my sincere opinion that all books should stand on their own; and this one leaves a slight after-taste of being unfinished.
It IS very refreshing the almost-mutant twist on the male characters; I hope they get a better treatment character development-wise on the next installments.

A great paranormal series not involving vampires or werewolves.

This is a great book. The twists and turns along with the ideas and possibilites made it hard to put the book down. I have long thought that we don't use our brains to their full capabilities, and this book just adds fuel to the fire. Keep your mind open to the possibilites and let your imagination soar. Enjoy.

Please note - this book has graphic sextual content written in it (which I was unaware of when I purchased it). FYI. The plot is good, but the extra fluff was not necessary!

This was an awesome book. I enjoyed this book from the first page until the last page. Christine Feehan is a very talented author. She has great imagination and keeps the reader enthralled from the very beginning until the end.

Finally got to read the book that started it all. Now I understand the stories better. Loved the story line enough to read them all over again.

Lily Whitney is a scientist with a brilliant mind. Her father, Peter Whitney, was involved in paranormal research because Lily possessed psychic abilities. Peter Whitney was performing experiments for the military on men who volunteered for special training. These men are mostly special forces. But ... something has gone wrong with the experiment and the men are dying. The government has deemed them too dangerous to be set free. Peter calls in Lily to consult with him on his research and then disappears the next day. This is a fun story of conspiracy and danger with a little bit of romance thrown in as well. I enjoyed it.

It's a good book, especially if you are a Christine Feehan fan. Well written, certainly saucy in parts, but with good story.

This book kept my attention because of the psychic abilities story-line. I am intrigued by what the human mind can accomplish and this series has promise.

What I did not like however was the amount of "romance" in this book. At one point I said to myself; "Enough sex already, just get on with the story." LOL I have just started the second book in this series, so I hope there is less romance.

4 stars, I have enjoyed all of the Ghost walker books and this was as good as any of the others. It has great characters and love interest and kept my interest throughout.

One of the worst things about Feehan as an author is her tendency to repeat herself and to use the same phrases and ideas throughout a book. You do not get much in the way of surprises. What you learn about a character the first chapter never evolves, but somehow you just have to finish her books and read more. This story is not different though interesting.

This book really was a pleasant gift. It seems (from the cover) that it would be cheese. But it was really fantastic. I enjoyed every page and can't wait to read the rest of the series!
