"Key of Knowledge" is the continuing saga of the search for the three keys to unlock the souls of the demigoddesses. It is the story of Dana Steele and Jordan Hawke. Dana and Jordan had a past - he was her first love and left Pleasant Valley quite abruptly after his mother died to make something of his writing career in New York City. He broke Dana's heart at the time and she has never forgotten or forgiven him. Now, years later, and with a successful career as a writer, he has returned and found himself connected to the search for the second key. Jordan has always been mesmerized and quite drawn to Warrior's Peak to the point that he wrote a best seller, "Phantom Watch", based on his boyhood experiences with friends Brad and Flynn at the mystery mansion. This connection ties him into librarian Dana's life once more and the search for the second key. This quest becomes much more dangerous than the first. The evil sorcerer, Kane, is not playing by the rules and some one's blood will be shed before the end of this sequel. Dana must dig deep into her soul in order to find the answers and the piece to her puzzle. Jordan is an integral part of that missing piece and she must come to terms with her life with him, past and present, if she is to have a chance at finding the second key. This story is an excellent continuation of the series; lots of adventure, camaraderie among the chosen six, Malory, Flynn, Dana, Jordan, Zoe and Brad and of course romantic entanglements as only Nora can project. I would highly recommend it after reading "Key of Light" and pass on that you will want to go directly to the final book "Key of Valor."

Book 2 of the Key Series from Nora Roberts. Now another one of the friends is searching for the magical key to unlock the souls of the departed. Not a horror, but enough to keep you interested. Not a love story, but enough to keep you in the story.

Read Key of Light first.....
Key of Valor follows

Second in the Key of Knowledge Trilogy. I love fantasy and romance. This has both. As always, Nora Roberts knows how to keep us intrigued.

Great 2nd in the series. Magic and love combined, you can't go wrong with any of Nora R's books in my opinion. I'm currently reading the 3rd and final book! :)

This is the second of three in series. I have all three. Kind of off the wall, it involves gods, but turned out to be very good. I couldn't put it down and couldn't wait to read the last one.

This is the 2nd book in the series with Dana & Jordan's story. If possible it is even better than the first with strong believable characters that love deeply and stand together even as their own doubts and insecurities are used against them. Really shows how true love can conquer all. Great book.

Second of the "key" series...was skeptical but LOVED this and the 2 other books in the series. Strong, intelligent women...strong, supportive men...and wonderful, interlocking friendships! Lots of mystery and beautifully written "thinking process" for the characters! This is Dana & Jordan's story.

Three friends and their men (who are also 3 friends) help solve a mystery that hasn't been solved in centuries...sleeping goddess who need to be awakened...immortals from another realm to assist the seekers of the keys...in finding the key...they find not only their loves but themselves!

Even with all Dana had seen and done, with all she'd been a part of over the last four weeks, it was hard to believe she was stretched out in the backseat of her brother's car, heading back up the steep winding road to the great stone house of Warrior's Peak. And what waited for her there.
It wasn't storming, as it had been on her first trip to the Peak, after receiving that intriguing invitation for "cocktails and conversation" from Rowena and Pitte, an invitation that had gone out to only two other women. And she wasn't alone. And this time, she thought, she knew exactly what she was in for.
Idly, she opened the notebook she'd brought along and read the summary she'd written of the story she'd heard on her first visit to Warrior's Peak.

Each daughter, demi-goddess, has a specific talent or gift. One is art, or beauty, the other is knowledge or truth, the third is courage or valor. A spell is cast on the daughters. The daughters' souls are stolen, locked in a glass box, known as the Box of Souls, which can only be opened by three keys turned by human hands. If the quest is completed, the Box of Souls will be opened and The Daughters of Glass freed. And the three women would have a cool one million dollars each.

An interesting story, Dana mused, until you understood wasn't a story but fact. Until you understood you were one of the three women who had the means to unlock the Box of Souls. Then it just got weird.
