I thought the book was pretty good--a classic Nora Roberts! The dialogue between the characters was above par but I found the action a little difficult to believe. For one, the fact that Remo was always right behind them got to be a little hard to believe. Also, when they're alluding Remo traversing down the river, I thought it was a little slow. Other than that, it was a good read!

I LIKE NORA ROBERTS, BUT THIS IS THE LEAST FAVORITE OF MINE. THE WOMAN IS AS STRONG AS EVER BUT, THE HERO LEAVES A LOT TO BE DESIRED.

A little bit different for Roberts. A stranger takes over Whitney MacAllister and her car and embroils her in adventure and danger in Madagascar.

One of Nora Roberts famous books. Involves a Jewel Heist, Kidnapping, and even romance. It will keep you on the edge of your seat with every turn of the page.

Fun, adventure-movie with romance of a book. Great light reading for commute or vacation, in Nora Roberts style. Fun characters - the spoiled yet spunky heiress and the loner with a heart jewel thief who encounter a number of interesting people along the way.

HOT ICE is a good story, but not fantastic. It is obvious how much the author has grown as a writer since she wrote this story in 1987. The characters were not instantly likeable, the plot didn't grab me, and it just seemed like your typical fill-in-the-outline standard romance. I was rather disappointed.

I am not a big fan of Nora Roberts or J.D. Robb or whatever pen name she happens to go under. However, Hot Ice is hands down my favorite contemporary romance. The chemistry between Whitney and Douglas is HOT and the story is captivating as you follow the two from the city of Manhattan through the wilds of Madagascar.
Highly recommend!

a Manhattan socialite living at jet-set speed crosses a desperate man on the run -- and suddenly her life is on the line...and out of control.
Even jaded Whitney Mac Allister is taken by surprise when a stranger in black leather hijacks her Mercedes -- just before the bullets start flying. But this is no ordinary kidnapping attempt and the wounded man is no common criminal. Without warning, Whitney is thrust into a partnership with an enigmatic stranger to stay one step ahead of death itself. Ahead of them is a last chance at redemption. Behind them is a pack of merciless killers who cooly eliminate anyone in their way. For both Whitney and the stranger, it's an exotic quest for meaning that will take them to the sultry wilds of Madagascar. There the game will be played out to its terrifying conclusion, one that may have no winners or losers. Or survivors
