This book first came off to me as hard hitting.
But basically a royal princess is intent on stealing a priceless necklace that she believes rightfully belongs to her mother. Though her mother is dead, she is stealing the necklace on the matter of principle due to her father, the king/sultan, taking away the gem and all her mother's divorce from him. She is a Robin Hood of sorts who has been robbing jewelry since the tender age of 16 or 15. Since she is an estranged princess, no one could believe that the spawn of a Hollywood Starlet and King could be a thief. However, an ex-jewel thief soon catches on. He tags along her, much to her annoyance, and finds out that she is the notorious jewel thief. He sees her side of the story and endeavors to help her steal back the gem. The writing was excellent and there was so much plot, which I adore!
If you like Nora Roberts, you will enjoy this book. This is one of her earlier novels, but it is as well written as any of her later ones. What happens when two of the very best jewel thieves, one retired and working for Interpol, the other with one more heist to pull off, get together? Sparks fly, romance delevops and revenge is sweet!!
Wonderful! Like an old movie with the classy cat burglars and exotic locations.
This was an enjoyable story. Good, strong female lead, and an unexpectedly balanced view of religion and culture.

I think all of her books are super, just like this one.
