The world's two deadliest spies in the ultimate showdown. At a small-town carnival two men, each mysteriously summoned by telegram, witness a bizarre killing. The telegrams are signed Jason Bourne. Only they know Bourne's true identity and understand the telegram is really a message from Bourne's mortal enemy, Carlos, known also as the Jackal, the world's deadliest and most elusive terrorist. And furthermore, they know that the Jackal wants: a final confrontation with Bourne. Now David Webb, professor of Oriental studies, husband, and father, must do what he hoped he would never have to do again -- assume the terrible identity of Jason Bourne. His plan is simple: to infiltrate the politically and economically Medusan group and use himself as bait to lure the cunning Jackal into a deadly trap -- a trap from which only one of them will escape.

"The Bourne Ultimatum" is the third and final novel in the Bourne series, and while not as good as its predecessors, is still worth reading, particularly with the movie soon to be released. Ultimately, this book is a decent ending to the series. It wasn't as exciting as the first two, but it's still a good story, and a decent end to the trilogy...

As we all know... the book is better than the movie. Even if you have already seen it on video, the book is still worth the read. Many details and aspects of the plot not covered in the movie make the book well worth your precious reading time.

The 3rd in the series of Bourne books, this one holds lots of excitement and adventure for Jason Bourne and his family. As Bourne hunts down the Jackal, who's also hunting him, he encounters new characters who wants to help him and hurt him. Enjoy the story as it travels around the world with Bourne and some aging agents from the FBI. Great book to take on vacation.
