This is a wonderful book about her character Eve Duncan. It gives more insight into who Eve is and what motivates her in her work and the feelings that she has for Joe Quinn.

This is my first book by this author.
I didn't find it riveting, but it moved along very well.
Eve is the main character and and even by the end of the book I didn't like her any more than at the beginning.
Why four stars? because I would be happy to read another book to see if she improves!

I loved the plot in the book. It kept my interest right through, wondering how it would turn out. But I did not like Eve Duncan, the heroine. She is supposed to be this really gutsy tough person who has survived this terrible tragedy, but she just seemed like a pain the butt through the whole book. I hope I like her better in the next book.

Very exciting book! Iris Johansen's FIRST book in her thrilling Eve Duncan Series (this is a reprint of the very first book). Read this one and you will get hooked on Eve Duncan......what a wonderful character Iris Johansen has created in Eve !!!!! Don't miss this series!!!
