Typical Luanne Rice: a story that sweeps you in with characters you feel like could live right down the street. She makes you care about their heartaches and joy. In this one Rumer's childhood best friend and almost lover is returning to town. The only problem is that he's also her ex-brother in law. You know where this is going the entire time, but it's a pleasant ride. Worth the time.

This is a story about childhood friends who reunite after one of them betrays the other. They find out that true love really does exist. An excellent book. For me, I had a hard time putting it down because I wanted to keep reading to find out what would happen next.
Good story with great characters that work well together. The dialogue flows well, too.

This book was well worth my time & I enjoyed it while I was reading it. This is my first book by Luann Rice. Apparently, she uses the same Connecticut beach town as the setting for several of her books.

Once again Rice is right on with her tale of a woman who must cope with the dramatic return of a man from her past. The question is...do they regret the path not taken or do they come to terms with..you can't go home again.

Excellent book for I loved the characters and the way the story just flowed off of the pages. For the ending was excellent and I couldn't put it down till done.

This book was not one of my favorites by Luanne Rice but was still a good book and everyone should read it at some point.

An earnest and affecting portrait of life in the magical seaside town of Hubbards Point, Conn., Luanne Rice's True Blue finds childhood friends Rumer Larkin and Zeb Mayhew torn apart by a seemingly insurmountable betrayal Zeb married Rumer's older sister, Elizabeth, instead of her. Now, after a 20-year absence, a bitter divorce and a life-altering expedition aboard a space station, Zeb has returned to the Point seeking forgiveness and maybe something more. The themes of sisterhood and friendship that appear here are common threads in Rice's novels (Safe Harbor, etc.), as is the sense that there's an ethereal force guiding the lives of the Points inhabitants. With its graceful prose, full-bodied characters and atmospheric setting, this uplifting and enchanting tale is likely to become a beachside staple.

My first Luanne Rice read, which got me hooked on all her others... Love it!
If you like Luanne Rice books, you will love this one. If you are new to her, this one is excellent!
