This was originally published as a category romance and it's thinner and more simplistic than Brockmann's usual work. The ending is also quite anticlimactic for a romantic suspense book. But what really bothered me was that I never got a good sense of what was keeping the hero and heroine apart; it never felt emotionally real.

Fast moving story. Only a little bit of suspense. I thought the "problem" could have been resolved if the hero and heroine actually talked to each other. My rating: 3.5 Stars.

First Romantic Novel I have read and it was EXCELLENT!!!!

quick easy read with likable characters

This is a re-release of an older series romance by Suzanne Brockmann who write a great series of navy seal books. This book was a decent romance with lots of angst and solid characterization and a little mystery but it didn't move me in the way her newer books always do.

Very good book. Kayla and Cal were steamy. Can't wait for Liam's story.

Excellent story.
