"For the past two years, fourteen-year-old Shannon Thomas has undergone chemotherapy treatments for Hodgkin's disease. Now free of symptoms, she is overjoyed that her treatment is coming to an end.

When Shannon's doctor moves away, her new doctor says she needs MORE chemo. Shannon is crushed. She's had enough of following doctor's orders. It's time for her to take her life back.

When Shannon hears about a woman in New Orleans who might be able to heal her, she knows her parents won't approve. So she goes by herself. At first she's a little scared, but at least she's making this decision on her own. It could be the most important decision of her life."
