The fourth entry in Blackstock's Cape Refuge series finds a couple of murders, a new baby and a wedding occurring on the small island, all within a short span of time. Jonathan and Morgan are expecting (their infertility travails are documented in the third entry in the series); Cade and Blair are going to the chapel (theirs is the most realistic romance); and, of course, a mystery. There are a couple of notable plot turns that I didn't see coming and Blackstock explores the concept of what it means to be born again and to truly hate the sins one has committed through her character, Sheila Caruso (introduced in the first entry in the series).

I throughly enjoyed the whole Cape Refuge series. Although the "crimes" were a bit questionable at times, the characters were very like-able and everything was well written. This book tied up the loose ends and there was a sense of closure with the characters.

Secrets are uncovered while lessons are learned about the sins of the fathers being visited upon their children. Will the consequences of Sheila's poor choices in life be fatal, or is there redemption and mercy for her and her children?
Great book. 4th in the Cape Refuge series.
A satisfying conclusion to this series. I have become a Terri Blackstock fan.
A famous mystery writer moves to Cape Refuse and an ex-con Sheila Caruso-mother to Sadie and Caleb- is trilled to get the job working for him. But then....in different mystery book scenes the eccentric writer's novels match the crime scene. Exactly....Will Sadie be the next to die?

Excellent read! This is Terri Blackstock's best series so far.
This is a book in the Cape Refuge Series, a Christian murder mystery. (Does that sound like an oxymoron?)

Please note that this is a hardcover not paperback.
