Jennifer Weiner's richest, wittiest, most true-to-life novel yet tells the story of three very different women as they navigate one of life's most wonderful and perilous transitions: the journay of new motherhood.
Becky is a plump, sexy chef who has a wonderfull husband and baby girl, a restaurant that received a citywide acclaim -- and the mother-in-law from hell. Kelly is an event planner who's struggling to balance her work and motherhood while dealing with unemployed husband who seems content to channel-surf for eight hours a day. Ayinde's basketball superstar husband breaks her trust at her most vulnerable moment, putting their new family even more in the public eye. Then, there's Lia, a Philadelphia native who has left her Hollywood career behind, along with her husband, and a tragic secret to start her life all over again.
From prenatal yoga to postbirth sex, Little Earthquakes is a frank, funny, fiercely perceptive take on the comedies and tragedies of love and marriage.

Really enjoyed this book. Just getting back into reading now that my kids are 2 and 4 years old and I could relate to so much in these stories. Never lost focus or interest and was sorry when it ended!

This book drew me in from the first chapter... I really enjoyed it! I don't have kids, so I don't agree that you need to in order to love this book. The characters are loveable, flaws and all and J.W. manages to develop their characters and lives without going overboard and making you feel bogged down in the details.

I really enjoyed this book. Great friendship, mother and wife relationships. I thought the auther kept me intrigued, while not bogging down to much in the stories.

Not what I expected, but very good. The book has little twists and turns in the plot and it was hard to put down. Not Chick Lit where every one is single and dating, but more grown up. These are smart married women dealing with love, sex, and child birth and babies. Plus jobs, losses and life. Something that really spoke to me, as I am beyond the "sex in the city" life style and this book is like that too.

I loved this book. I read in two days. My sister-in-law read it right after I did and she finished it in two days as well. Could not put it down. Definetly two thumbs up from me on this one! I actually wished it was longer. I'm not a mother and I still loved the book.

Not my favorite book by her. This one is not so universal: You kind of have to be a mother to appreciate its nuances. I'm not so I didn't find it very compelling.

Wonderful! A really honest, funny story about unlikely girlfriends and their husbands and families. Characters are easy to relate to and sweep you along with them. I absolutely recommend this book!
This is, by far, my favorite of Weiner's books so far. The group of friends was so real to me that I felt like I was right there with them, going through the same growing pains.

I read this book shortly after I had my daughter. I totally could understand and feel what the characters were feeling. I laughed out loud so many times with the characters. I think anyone woman who feels like they don't have the perfect size 0 body, has small children, and some great friends would really love this book. Jennifer Weiner is a great author and writes from her heart which such a wonderful sense of humor. I hope someone else will enjoy this book as much as I did!

This should be REQUIRED reading for women thinking about getting pregnant. This book is fun but tells you how it really changes your life to be a mom. Many parts of this book came straight out of my life with my baby...I laughed a lot.
