Book Description:

From acclaimed author Jen Holling comes the second novel in a sensual new trilogy full of passion and intrigue about a trio of sisters with the remarkable gift of witchcraft.

Gillian MacDonell has always felt lacking because, unlike her sisters, she did not inherit any mystical powers. But when her father arranges a match with notorious Nicholas Lyon, Earl of Kincreag -- a Scotsman rumored to have murdered his wife -- strange visions plague her like never before. From Gillian's first moment inside Kincreag Castle, she is filled with foreboding and when attempts are made on her life, she fears the rumors may be true. But their passion burns bright and Nicholas's cold heart starts to melt. Will his desire for her turn to wrath when he learns that she's really a witch after all?

I enjoyed reading the second of three books in the series on highland sisters who are witches. After their mother was burned at the stake, their father sent them away separately and the book picks them up 12 years later coming home to wed men chosen by their father to protect them. Of course destiny intervienes in their father's choices. The second oldest, Gillian is promised to a Frenchman, but took a liking to the earl her older sister, Isobel was promised to...who incidentally everyone thinks murdered his first wife! I look forward to reading about the youngest sister!

Okay Scottish romance of sisters who are witches. Predictable ending, amusing in some parts.

Another great book by Jen Holling! Be sure to read the first of the MacDonell Bride Series, My Wicked Highlander, and the conclusion, My Shadow Warrior. I read and loved them all!

The story is about a young gal that has 2 other sisters that have magical powers--to either see what has been before or what will happen and another that can see what illness someone has. But Gilliam has none of them that she knows of until she runs into a ghost and knows that now she can talk to the dead.
