3 short paranormal romance novels with explicit sex. The first two are a bit formulaic, but OK reads. The third, by Thomas-Sundstrom, tries too hard to be mysterious and ends up being contrived. On the whole, worth one reading, but not rereading.

"Night Ecstasy" by Rebecca York...
The heroine, an artist who has gone stale in her painting...searches for excitement in the French Quarter of New Orleans... the "city of sin" brings her inspiration in our hero, Jules... a 300-yr old vampire... a good read filled with erotic images.

"Velvet Night" by Rosemary Laurey...
The heroine, a cop needing down time...returns to her childhood summer escape and meets up with a delicious newly-turned vampire... add in childhood bullies and a search for Meth... an enjoyable contemporary read.

"Midnight Court" by Linda Thomas-Sundstom...
The hero a rakish vampire who wants to save the damsel in distress... The heroine...isn't who you think it is... a vision of innocence~ "the angel" and the jealous mistress... got to read it to figure it out! A good paranormal historical story.

Really enjoyed this book. Three vampirw stories in one book, what's not to enjoy. My favorite was "Night Esctasy" written by Rebecca York and took place in New Orleans were I'm from, but all of them-are worth reading:-)

The first two stories were good but the last one by Linda Thomas-Sundstrom was very convoluted. I didn't really get the ending. It wasn't a bad story but it wasn't one I would reread.

This book is ok. I guess it wasn't what I expected. I would recommend it, with the understanding that the title is kind of deceiving (I think anyway).

Night Ecstasy - Rebecca York
I found this short story awful. Taylor (heroine) calls Jules (the vampire) out of the blue after relocating to New Orleans. They meet and hit it off immediately. On the second date, they're already sleeping together and in love. She is a painter and paints explicit scenes of each encounter with Jules. She doesn't know he's a vampire and she interprets his bite mark as insect bites. I realize this is a short story but come on. What is she a freaking idiot? I could only stomach 44 of the 86 pages before I gave up and went to the Rosemary Laurey tale.

Velvet Midnight - Rosemary Laurey
Pete Falcon is my kinda man - kickass, sensitive and sexy as hell. This story was good and would have been great as a full length novel where the characters could have been fleshed out a little better.

Midnight Court - Linda Thomas-Sundstrom
This is an author I'm not familiar with but would like to read more in the future. It was a confusing but fascinating "court" intrigue revolving around a vampire and another vampires human sister. Very interesting but it ended rather abruptly causing me to wonder if a sequel is in the making.
