What to Expect When You're Expecting Author:Heidi Murkoff
Book Description:
Introducing a completely Revised & Updated Third Edition of America's bestselling pregnancy book, What to Expect When You're Expecting. Two years in the making, it's a cover-to-cover, chapter-by-chapter, line-by-line revision and update.
Incorporating the most recent developments in medicine, and responding to the many queries and letters received from readers, the book contains both the most accurate information available, and the most reader-friendly. The Third Edition includes more information on working while pregnant. It offers more in-depth coverage of complementary and alternative birthing. Greater attention is paid to pre-conception, alternative families, second pregnancies, HMOs, the role of the father, and lifestyle. There's a completely new look at the Best-Odds diet, which is better suited to the needs of busier women with less time. An updated cover and all-new black-and-white illustrations give the classic a fresher look.
Absolutely essential reading when you are expecting. Includes decent coverage of twin/multiple pregnancies as well.

The pregnancy bible! A month-by-month guide, full of answers to all your questions! Very reassuring to know that you're not the only one suffering from all the weird symptoms!

Most women consider this the pregnancy Bible. :] I have read it with each of my pregnancies and while I don't agree with a lot of the "do what the doctor says every time" mentality, it does have some great info about each stage of pregnancy and what the baby is doing, etc. I enjoyed it for that part.

This is not called 'the pregnancy bible' for nothing! It has info for all situations you might encounter and is a great resource for all your 'what if's'.

An old standby, and just as helpful the 3rd time around as it was the 1st!

I used this book 2 times, once with my first child then, with my second. I found it really helpful and easy to use when i was looking up something. It takes you month by month, and thats how i would recomend reading it. Plus, its a great book to have for reviewing the important stuuf you might have forgotten.

I found this book helpful when going through my first pregnancy. They seem to be a dime a dozen, very popular.

I really enjoyed having this book to read through as my pregnancy progressed. It is also a great reference guide when things come up during your pregnancy, especially when no one else is available to answer any questions. The question and answer format is easy to follow, and a must have for the expectant mother.
I was scared out of my mind before I had my first daughter. Think goodness for this book, it was a lifesaver. Everytime she kicked or I felt something was wrong I could pick up this book and save myself from calling my doctor and sounding like a lunatic.

Full of information and things you need to know. A lot of people get freaked out by some of the things it talks about (like preeclampsia and other things that happen more often on TV than in real life) but I found it kind of reassuring to read about what you can do if you *do* develop complications.
