Great ending for the Charlston Triology.
Book 1. "The Back Up Plan"
Book 2. "Flirting With Disaster"
Book 3. "Waking Up In Charleston"
This book can be read alone with no problem but I would highly recommend reading the first two in this series before cracking this one open. All of the characters in this third novel are from the previous two stories and it makes it all the more enjoyable to read this one if you understand the secondary characters beforehand.
Waking Up in Charleston is the story of young widow Amanda O'Leary and her love for the town pastor, Caleb. Amanda is trying to put her life back together after loosing her husband, her home and all the "stuff" that matters most. She has been estranged from her dad, Big Max, since she married her late husband and has been fighting to survive without the very wealthy backing of him ever since.
Caleb is falling in love, has fallen in love, and wants to give Amanda and her three kids the world. But he thinks he can't give her EVERYTHING she wants so he fights his feelings and tries his best to stay away... We all know how THAT works out!!! In the meantime he is trying to befriend Big Max secretly, in hopes of bringing he and his daughter Amanda back together before its too late.
Sherryl Woods is an excellent writer. She sucks you in with her amazing talent for writing characters that become your friends and family. Strongly recommend this series for anyone who enjoys humor, love, friendship, romance and family in their stories.
will make you happy & sad both sometimes at the same time

Oh God! She's in love with the preacher.
But it's not as if Amanda O'Leary set out to fall for the most gorgeous(and unattainable0man this side of South caarolina Low Country. It's just that he organized building a cozy home for her and her children at a time when the future looked darker than blackstrap molasses. Not even her father, the arrogant and wealthy Big Max, would have done as much for her. But thats a whole other kettle of fish.
Caleb can count on fingers and toes why his attraction to Amanda is plain wrong. How can he objectivly counsel this chin-up spitfire without letting his emotions--and imagination--run wild? And now that Big Max has burdened him with not one secret, but 2, he knows his priorities shoud be mending fences between father and daughter--but he can;t help trying to build a place for himself in her heart first.

Woman finds out that she is love with her preacher...very quirky romantic novel
Great characters and dialogue.
Another good book by Sherryl Woods. It's always nice to cuddle up with one of her books on a cold, quiet night!
