This is the first Hitchcock Sewell book I've read, and I'm looking forward to more ... Hitch is a thoroughly enjoyable, well-crafted beleivable character ... He reminds me an awful lot of Lawrence Sanders' Archy McNally ...
The book was longer than most in this genre, which allowed for properly developed twists and turns. There wasn't really a magic "rabbit out of a hat" denoument ...
The settings were colorfully drawn, and the pace was just right to keep your interest without feeling rushed.

This is the third book in the series about an undertaker and the murders he solves. Sounds strange, but is really quite enertaining! Tim Cockey has a great sense of humor!
