I was very excited to receive this because I have a couple friends who are trying to learn the game with me. I already have another book I was learning from, and wanted a second mah jong book to hand out when playing.

Sadly, this book did not have very good instructions compared to the other books I've read. It said nothing about how to build and break the wall, how game play should go, or anything like that. It basically just tells you how many points each hand is worth.

If you already know the game, this might be a good reference, but unfortunately it is not really "for beginners" as the title states.
