The book is set in the mid-1700's, a year after the Battle of Culloden. If you want to meet larger than life characters that epitomise the passions of the Scots, you'll find it in this book. The storyline is good, with a few twists & turns to make it REALLY good.
The characters are wonderful; interesting but flawed. And the ending was sooo satisfying!
Do try it; you'll enjoy it!
