This book should be required reading for every Christian woman. Mrs. Pride exposes the goals of the feminist movement and points out how many Christian women are furthering those goals. She demonstrates how our current (anti-Biblical) societal norms are destructive to family, and thus to society. Mrs. Pride's claims are well-documented. If you want to remain complacently in your comfort zone, fitting neatly into the world, then leave this book on the shelf. If, on the other hand, your desire is to please God and bring glory to the Saviour by being "not conformed to this world," then let this text transform your mind by its application of Scripture.

Some topics the book addresses: careerism, day care, schooling, birth control.

This book is one that EVERY woman should read (what a wonderful gift to put in your daughter's hope chest!)! My whole life changed upon reading this 12 years ago, and my eyes were opened to many things that I had been blinded to. I never realized what a stronghold the worlds feministic teachings had upon me, until I was given a copy of this book. Thanks to the Lord, His Word, and the teachings of Mary Pride and Bill Gothard, I am now a happy, contented, stay-at-home, wife of 12 years, and homeschooling mom of EIGHT wonderful blessings. God is good!!

Good book for women who want to know what their Biblical role in their marriage is. Shows the lies of feminism.

Great book about whether Christian women have been sold a bill of goods. It covers the consequences, blessings of staying home with children or being a feminist and in the working world as a Christian woman. She talks about how staying at home... means homeworking!

A christian's view on how women should live: leave the workplace, focus on childbearing & childrearing, keeping God & Husband 1st place in their hearts.

This book was a real eye-opener. I had been aware of many of the feminist movement issues she talks about in this book, but to put them all together so cohesively really broadened my understanding. I am proud to be 'just' a homemaker and take my job seriously. I am raising part of the next generation...all great people started out as children, how they are nurtured and raised by their parents is critical to who they become as adults. If you're struggling with guilt over working and being away from your children, this book can help you make the decision to quit the rat race and embrace your motherhood fully. If you're struggling with feeling like you need a career to be fulfilled, this book can help you realize that the job you are doing right now, raising your children, can be more fulfilling than any 9-5 career. Highly recommended!

Gives you a lot to think about. I found some of it convicting and disagreed with some, too. Book only in fair condition, but still readable.
