A guide to homeschooling for moms who are not perfectly serene, completely organized, and immaculate housekeepers! The authors write from a conservative (as regards gender, marital and parental roles) Christian perspective.

From the back cover: Home schooling may be one of the most important and rapidly growing social movements of the day, but that doesn't get the laundry done for home teaching moms! Here, at last, is help millions of home schoolers have been waiting for. Written by two home teaching moms, this book answers the questions home schoolers are asking; How can I prevent burnout? What do I do with my preschoolers while I teach? What if my child isn't "getting it?" How can my husband help? . . . all in light of Scriptural guidelines.

This book has some good, practical information. The author spends a lot of time on her view of what "good Christian parenting" is, which may be a turnoff to advocates of attached parenting.

This was a great book for getting a glimpse of what homeschooling really looks like. Although some of the information is a little out of date, as for costs, I was surprised at how relevant almost all of the material was. It gave me some great things to think about when deciding if home schooling is right for us.
