204 Rosewood Lane

Cedar Cove, Washington

Dear Reader,

If you've been to Cedar Cove before we've probably met. You can, usually, find me either at home or at the public library where I work. I've lived in this town all my life and raised two daughters here. But my husband and I -- well, about six months ago, he disappeared. Just . . . disappeared. Where's Dan? Why did he go? Who's he with? Will I ever find out?

My hometown, my family and friends, bring me comfort during this difficult time. Comfort and a sense of shelter. I'm continually reminded that life can and does go on. For instance, everyone's been discussing weddings and babies lately. Justine -- the only daughter of my best friend, Olivia Lockhart -- impulsively got married a little while ago. My own daughter Kelly recently had, a baby. Unfortunately, she refuses to accept that Dan might not return to see his first grandchild. My older daughter, Maryellen, is more realistic. I think she's seeing a new man, but for some reason she won't tell me who it is.

Then there's Jack, who's been pursuing a romance with Olivia, and his son, Eric, and Eric's girlfriend, Shelly (I think she's pregnant), and Zach and Rosemary Cox, whose marriage is reputedly on the skids and . . . Well, just come on over and we'll talk!

Grace

I’m sure this is in the category of “women’s fiction,” if there is such a thing. I did not think I would like this book very much, nor the series. However, I found myself swept away by the first book in the series, 16 Lighthouse Road, and went straight to this book after finishing it! I never go from book to book in a series, but read something in between. Not this one! I was so interested and invested in the characters that I wanted to keep going. I’m not a typical romance reader, but while this series and book have romantic relationships, it doesn’t feel like a “romance” novel. It is very well written and quite compelling! I really have enjoyed getting to know the characters!

Loved this book. I started reading these out of order, but it doesn't really matter. You really get to know these characters and fall in love with them. Debbie Macomber has done an excellent job with this series.

2nd in the series.

Wonderful book abt several people in one town (Cedar Cove, Washington) just a ferry ride away from Seattle. All the characters have secrets, pasts, mysteries, troubles, etc. This series explores more of each of them in each book - esp. focusing on the residents of the title address.

"Macomber is known for honest portrayals of ordinary women...this cements her position as an icon of the genre." -Publishers Weekly

Typical Macomber. Usual characters, pleasant if not exciting reading.

I just discovered this series of books. I like the small town stories. These books are sweet and humorous. They are quick reads and make for a pleasant evening or two of reading. I have already searched and found three more in the series. If you enjoy cosies the Cedar Cove series is a good bet.

Loved this book! I couldn't put it down. Same core characters and she added more characters to her story. Even if its same stuff different day it was still engaging. Can wait to read #4
