Wow, did I love this gorgeous graphic novel! Eddie's Campbell's art work is beautiful and creative. It's a circus themed picaresque adventure spanning the late 19th and early 20th centuries, peopled with an engaging cast of characters and pretty much the most hilarious marginalia I've seen in a long, long time. It's the sort of book that inspires me to write and draw and make beautiful things. I started reading it again the moment I finished.
