This is a cozy mystery with some otherworldly elements. The places are places I would like to see and the situation is one that everyone has always dreamed of. An unknown "relative" dying and leaving us money.

Henry Reed is so literal and practical he rarely what is funny about the situations he finds himself in, but his uncle is correct wherever Henry goes, things get exciting. This time the excitement follows him across the United States as he spends the summer traveling with his friend Midge and her family. The books is filled with many laughs.

Both my son and daughter love stories about Gramma Dowdel. She is always unexpected, hiding a soft heart and a keen sense of what is the best thing to do under a gruff and forbidding exterior. The stories are warm and humorous and are accompanied by lots of laughter.

My daughter and I laughed so hard at this book we were crying. We loved it. It made the other adult listeners in the room stop and take notice and often laugh too.

I enjoyed the book. Like a lot of Barbara Cartland books, this is a historical romance and centers around the accepted roles of women during that time period - what they are capable of and what they expected to do or not to do. The heroine fills in for her ill father as a language expert. She journeys alone and unannounced to join a man who not only has no use for women, but is doing intelligence gathering in a dangerous Muslim country where women are nonentities. The plot is good, I wish it were a bit longer and had more time for depth and more character development.

A cookbook of recipes for people who really enjoy good food and would like to make their own. There are some wonderful recipes in here. So far everything I have tried has been terrific!

This book was a combination of historical romance and fantasy book which was right up my alley. The book was put together as an exchange of letters between the two female protagonists and each author took one heroine. I really enjoyed the format as well as the plot and action. This book had it all from my point of view, suspense, action, humor and romance. I definitely recommend this as a great read!

A very fun read! I really enjoyed the exciting story with all its twists and turns. It was not a hard read, but it was a hard book to put down. My 10 year old son enjoyed it very much, it was right up his alley with magic, action, suspense, fights, and intrigue.
