Disappointing. Story is too familiar. She's a timid virgin who's been abused. He's an uptight prick who treat his students like dirt, but has a dark sexual side. Didn't feel any real connection to main characters. The focus on past issues (sins, vices) repeating over & over only drags the story out. Its pretty clear what's going to happen when she pulls away from Paul, but its going to take another 200 pages to get there.

Interesting, but rather slow progress with the main story line. Perhaps this is due to the fact that it is the first in a series. Would consider reading book 2 simply to find out what happens next.
