Having recently seen the movie with Leslie Caron and Tom Bell, I wanted to re-read the book. I found it interesting--A time capsule of England back in the late 50's early 60's and the story of an unwed mother.

A nice volume of short stories with the central theme of "holidays" gone wrong. As always Margaret Yorke keeps the reader interested.

Excellent 50's gritty hard-boiled drama--good reading! McGivern never fails to deliver a good story!

Ah, those were the days. A clean wholesome adventure story from a more innocent era. No gruesome serial killers, sex maniacs or shocking gory violence. An entertaining read, especially for baby boomers who remember those days.

Mesmerizing and hard to put down. A wonderfully told story. Billy Coffey is my newest favorite author.
