This book is a great allegory without all the magic and gory details that the Chronicles of Narnia has. I still love that series, but this book is more kid friendly. It has just enough excitement to keep the pages turning and you wondering what's going to happen next. I highly recommend it!

I really enjoy Henty's books and this one especially, because this one is continually pointing to the fact that things don't just happen by chance, and it is instead all part of God's plan. This is also an excellent book to read of you want to learn about Ancient Egyptian culture and religion. This is also more kid friendly than most of his other books that were originally meant for people around the age of fifteen and older.
