Wilson Elementary SchoolWe hit our Book Credits goal!
Wilson Wildcats in Colorado Springs, Colorado love books!
Wilson Elementary School was built in 1969 and is a Title 1 school serving grades K – 5 in Colorado Springs, CO. Of our 424 students, 70% are minority, 86% are free / reduced lunch, and 43% are ELL (English Language Learners). We are definitely interested in a program that will support our efforts in developing a culture of literacy for our kids and their families.
We strongly believe that putting good quality literature in our students’ hands is critical to their development as readers and learners. As you know, in a community of poverty there is often an absence of literature at home due to lack of resources. Here at Wilson, we are committed to the success of our students and we are very grateful for the opportunity to participate in your PaperBackSwap program.

Thank you to the hundreds of PBS members who make it possible to support students at schools in need! Having taught for over 15 years at many low-income schools, I truly appreciate those who pay it forward to the next generation! Thank you for your support to inspire Wilson Wildcat lifelong readers! ~
