i am looking for other writers that have books like Janet Evanovich and the Plum series. Ones that make you laught out loud. |
Check out Sarah Strohmeyer's Bubbles series. Very similar writing styles. |
Karen Kijewski's "Kat" books somewhat remind me of Evanovich. Well, actually Evanovich's books remind me of Kijewski's because I read hers first. |

Try Nancy Bush's Candy Apple Red, Electric Blue and Ultraviolet. Lisa Lutz's The Spellman Files and Curse of the Spellmans (coming out in March) are also in this same vein. |

Marianne Stillings. Hers are somewhat connected but don't have to be read in order or anything. Very entertaining. A little romance, a little mystery, a little comedy and a whole lot of whitty dialogue. Last Edited on: 1/20/08 1:11 AM ET - Total times edited: 1 |

Karen Kijewski's "Kat" books
I used to love this series. Does anybody know what happened to her? I haven't seen a new book from her in years! |

Linda Barnes, Nancy Bartholomew, Louise Doughty, I found these suggestions on the Internet.

>> I used to love this series. Does anybody know what happened to her? I haven't seen a new book from her in years!<< I've been wondering that too! It's like she disappeared. I was really hoping for more of those books. |

I would recommend Tori Carrington's SOFIE METROPOLIS series. I would describe it as Stephanie Plum meets My Big Fat Greek Wedding. <G>

If you haven't tried Fern Michael's Sisterhood Series, it is a must!!! Quite hillarious! Has anyone read these? Her newest one just came out this month! Renee' |

I agree with the suggestion for the Bubbles Books, I have read the first 3 and they are hysterically funny lol |

I really enjoy Kathy Hogan Trochek's mysteries. Many of hers are based in the Atlanta area. Easy, breezy, entertaining read. Her main character Callahan Garrity is a former Atlanta police detective who buys a house cleaning service and ends up solving mysteries on the side.

The Undead series by Mary Janice Davidson |

Sandra Hill has several series that are very funny. |
Lois Greiman's Unzipped, Unplugged and Unscrewed. I recently read Unzipped and have the other two on my WL |
Jennifer Crusie and Bob Mayer's agnes and the hitman (really laugh out loud funny)

Hey... What about J.A. Konrath??? A friend told me about this series. The character is named Jack Daniels!!! Ha! She is a insomiac cop with a very bad home shopping addiction. I am only on the first one, Whiskey Sour, but it so good already. :-) Happy Reading! Tonia |

Definitely Lois Greiman's series. I loved them. Also, More than Fiends by maureen Child kinda reminded me of Evanovich. |
