Since we're only to post deals here, I thought it would be nice to have a specific thread for Homeschoolers to post deals they might have on curriculum books and reading books for their kids.  Enjoy!

***NOTE:

Please be sure to keep your posts updated.  If you stop offering a deal, please make sure you come back here and edit your post to reflect that.  Also, if you are accepting a deal from someone, be sure to PM them to confirm that the deal is still in place.  Remember, good communication helps avoid misunderstandings!

I'd like to see some movement on my homeshool books -- so here is my deal :

Three books, two credits.  Only one exception -- the two Bronze Literature text books are excuded from any deal. Too heavy to be included as a freebie, but a freebie can be ordered along with them.

The only thing I request is that you go ahead and order all three books you are interested in. Then send me a PM that you want the 3-for-2 deal and I will buddy you back one credit as soon as the orders show up on my account.

This prevents the problem that happens in a lot  of deals where you order two books, and request your freebie -- in the time it takes for the PM to be delivered and read, someone else has requested your freebie! then what do you do? Cancel the request or take a second choice freebie.

If anyone interested in the deal requests their 3 first choice books, everyone's happy!  :-)

Oh, and the deal applied to all books on my shelf, not just homeschool books.

Hi there!

Here's a mini-deal to feature a few kid-friendly biographies on my bookshelf.  I have three biographies listed that are easy chapter books appropriate for grades 3 through 5.  (The books--from different publishers--are about Clara Barton, Helen Keller, and Daniel Boone.)

Here's the deal:  pick any non-biography book for free with any of the above biographies.

(Now--if I can only figure out why I still have so many of these little kid books around my house when I'm homeschooling an 8th grader...)  :)

Hi there!

I just wanted to add a post to encourage the life of this thread, since we can't legally post on the homeschool discussion site and we don't have a "sticky" thread to post in.  If we can keep this thread from getting buried, maybe it will be more useful for folks checking for educational deals.

I clicked on "watch this topic" so I'll be notified when there are no posts.  That way I don't have to search for it every day :-)

Have any of you heard of or used A squared?  It looks like a wonderful curriculum and I was just looking for some opinions.    http://www.accelerated-achievement.com/

Do any of you use Five in a Row? Where do you find the books to read with it?

I used Five In A Row years ago when my daughter was smaller.  This swap site would have been a great place to find the books!  (If anyone has any, perhaps they'd like to highlight them on this thread.)  In the absence of this cool site, I used to find books at second-hand bookstores, library book sales, thrift stores--and my favorite source: borrowed from the library.  I could access our library's catalog online and make my requests from home.  The library also had access to a larger network to borrow from if their own system didn't have the book.  (I think most libraries have those options now.)

Hello, fellow homeschoolers.

I wanted to post a deal to highlight some Christian chapter books.  Here's the deal:  Pick any other book on my shelf for free with the "request" for one of the books below.

Here are the books:  (Lots of books were snagged right away--only this one is left.)

Facing the Future (Left Behind--The Kids, #4)

The Left Behind book is appropriate for age 10 & up; the series explores the same events as the adult books, but through teenaged characters and their experiences.

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone uses Kono's anymore. I have a few guides for Kono's I'm not using one on Obedience and one on horses. They are free with any order.

Thanks

Hi,

I have two boxes of used Homeschool Textbooks. They are pretty big, and most are hardcover, but I am willing to try and make a deal as fair as possible (giving consideration to the cost of postage)

Here is what I've got:
Some books I have doubles of.
Some were written in, most were not.

If you are interested in anything feel free to ask, I can get you an ISBN number and description if you like.

MIDDLE SCHOOL (I used Calvert Home-school for these)

  • Mathematics in Action (This was for beginning Middle School I believe)
  • Math (This was more for 7-8th grade)
  • Earth Science

HIGH SCHOOL (I used American Home-school. All books are from them)

  • Geometry
  • Algebra
  • Adventures in English Literature
  • American Literature
  • Persona A Persona (A Spanish Language Book)
  • Biology
  • Psychology (This is a paperback... and it was "studied" well... underlining etc.)
  • Planning Your Career (Also Paperback)
  • Language for Daily Use
  • Social Studies (Government... paperback)

Thanks to All who have ordered from me so far... I have been able to send 17 different Textbooks to people. It makes me feel SO GOOD knowing these are going to other Homeschoolers! :)

Just wanted to let you know that I just added a few more 3rd-5th grade biographies on my bookshelf.  These are included in the deal listed in my signature below.

(If you have the signatures turned off--that's order a biography, and get any other book on my shelf free.)
