I don't have a pay pal account, but I am interested in selling some credits. Is there anyway to sell credits for PBS money to my account? Thanks, Allison :) |

No - but you can have them send you a gift card from Amazon, barnes and nobel (comes from members in early posts) you can also have them send you a money order or visa gift card??? I would not send the credits until you have the gift card, money in hand! If I find the other link I will post it and here it is - there is a full discussion on this topic http://www.paperbackswap.com/forum/topic.php?t=174594

As jubead said there are other ways to get the money for the credits. Have them send a money order or a certified check - gotta be careful these days. Some people would rather have the gift cards from Amazon or elsewhere, your choice. Also as jubead said don't send the credits until you have the money or card in your possesion. |

Thanks for the responses, really good info. Does anyone have a Pay Pal account? I was trying to find info on their website, but I don't think it's terribly user-friendly. Are the fees worth it? How do you eventually get your money back or do you have to spend it on something else? Thanks! Allison :) |

You can have your Paypal money directly deposited into your bank account. It is BEYOND simple. Paypal transactions are one of the easiest things online. Don't even have to get your wallet out to pay for something. I've sold (am selling) tons of credits this way and it is a breeze. |

Having a Pay Pal account does not cost anything. The only fees you should run into are if you accept payment from someone using a credit card to back the Pay Pal payment, then its 0.30 + 2.9% I believe. If you don't want any fees, state you will only accept funded or checking backed payments. I transfer money out of my Pay Pal into PBS for DC and postage purchases and have also transferred money back to my checking. I've never actually purchased anything through my Pay Pal account. |

Paypal has recently changed some of its fee structure--a co-op I'm in was caught with having to pay fees even on funded payments to a non-CC accepting account because they deemed her selling stuff or such. As someone who's had a CC-enabled account (which charges fees on EVERY transaction, funded or CC) I haven't paid too much attention. I already pay fees on funded payments so there is no difference to me. I'd read the rules closely, though. It may depend on what type of transaction the sender marks, or the quantity, or I'm not sure--but I'd find out if you are going to be selling more than a handful now and then. Also, please when you advertise make sure you state funded PayPal only, so you don't have someone assume PayPal means PayPal and not just a subset. Just a good way to head that off before it's a problem. |

Hi Allison - I think I figured out how it posted numerous times. When I moved to fire fox - the progress bar is at the far right of the screen whereas IE is off center to the right. I would press reply again before the bar completely finished and ended up with double or numerous posts. After doing this a 1/2 dozen times I caught on (LOL). Also you can't delete the post - you can only go into edit and replacy your text. |
