I have read Slave to Sensation and loved it!  I'm now starting on Visions of Heat.   I have Caressed by Ice (book 3) on order but I already have book 4 in hand.   Can book 3 and book 4 be read out of order or do I really need to wait until book 3 comes in?

In my opinion you can read Book 4 before Book 3...you shouldn't be lost.

Probably okay with this one at this point.  Though, there is the overall plot through the series, which gets added to with each new book.  I'm up to date with them all, and hard to recall which things that may be important occurred in which book early on. In Caressed by Ice, Judd's story, we learn more abou the Psy Council, and Judd's role as an Arrow, which is starting to come into play more (the Arrows) later in the series.  So overall, it is good to read them in order when you can, but I think for now reading the 4th before the 3rd should be okay, as I remember more about Judd after this one I think.

I think you should be alright, Sherri. Because Judd (hero in book 3) is a SnowDancer and books 2 and 4 are about DarkRiver sentinels, whatever happened with Judd's book doesn't have THAT much bearing in book 4 (now 4 & 5 are REALLY interconnected.) Also the heroine of #4 is human so nothing happen regarding the powers of the psy that builds up from #3.

ETA: Now I want to read #6!

It's been awhile since I've read them, so I could be wrong, but I think book 3 has some stuff (re: Judd's part of the story) about the Psy net (and a new presence or two in it), and the net Judd's a part of (the Lauren net, i think), as well as the one Sascha's a part of (Web of stars, I think) that has some impact on the world building and the overarching story in the later books.... I don't think reading book 4 first will be a big issue, but if you can, (and I know it'd be hard -- they're just so addicting!) I'd say wait 'til you read Caressed by Ice first. At the very least, you'll save yourself some confusion (though I don't think there'd be much), and won't run the risk of  any spoilers!

I would also say to wait for 3 before reading 4, but you don't have to.   FWIW,  "Caressed by Ice" is one of my faves of that series.  :P

I agree with those who say wait.

i think you're ok to read book 4 now.

i read this series way out of order - i actually started with book 4, and got book 3 way later after reading a few of the others - and i don't think it affected my enjoyment of any of the books.  of course, this may be why i don't love book 1 as much as some others do.  the only ones i kept to re-read are books 3 and 4.

Thanks girls!  I've decided I'm just going to have to wait.  Its already shipped so maybe it won't take long to get here.  I am seriously loving Vaughn by the way!

Ashley I finished book 2 today.  It wasn't my favorite either.  I thought it was a little too technical and not enough passion between the pair.  But that's just me.

From what little he was in the 2nd book (plus the preview) I gathered that.  I can't wait for it to get here!
