Help Center - My transaction was canceled!

Search Terms:
  • The system canceled your transaction because you did not complete the sending process by clicking "Book Has Been Mailed" on the transaction to mark the book mailed before the deadline. Canceled transactions cannot be reactivated.
  • If the sender clicks "I can mail" she or he has 7 days in which to mail and then return to the account and mark the transaction as "mailed"If it is not marked mailed by the deadline, it will cancel automatically, and the request will be passed along to another member offering a copy of the same book.
  • >>>>>>The deadline for each transaction appears in RED on the right-hand side of the transaction on the sender's account<<<<<<
  • If your book has been mailed when it's canceled:
  • Contact the requestor by Personal Message to ask if her request was passed along to another member.
  • If her request was passed along and the wrapper has been printed for the new transaction, she cannot cancel this, and she will end up with two copies of this book!
  • If her request was passed along and the wrapper has NOT been printed for the new transaction, she may agree to cancel the new transaction and give you a credit when your copy of the book arrives. (For an explanation of how credits can be transferred between members, see How do I give credits to other members?)
  • If her request was not passed along, she may agree to give you a credit when your copy arrives. She is not obligated to do this. She should take her copy of the book off her Wish List to prevent receiving future offers of the book.
  • You can send a Personal Message to the requestor from the canceled transaction for this book. Your list of canceled transactions is available via a link at the top of your Transaction Archive page.
For more detailed instructions, please see My request was canceled but I already mailed the book!
  • If your book has NOT been mailed yet:
  • DO NOT MAIL THE BOOK
  • Repost the book.
  • If the requestor has not been offered another copy by the system when the transaction with you was canceled, she will be offered your copy immediately.
  • If another copy has been offered to her, she will get the book from another member, and your book will go onto your bookshelf to await another requestor.
  • When your book is requested again, be sure to check the address for the new transaction, to ensure that you send the book to the correct requestor.
