This novel takes place in the midst of the Depression in the 1930's. Joshua is the first Negro minister to be sent to do missionary work in South Africa. Black ministers have been known to be trouble makers for spreading their ideas of freedom and equality among the black African. Were previously restricted entry by the South African government. Joshua struggles with the demands of his mission and his own inner voice to do the right thing. He is "ordered" to only to preach church approved sermons and not to help in the prison or remote villages. Joshua's strength and faith beining tested to the limit, he will risk everything to find is true identity and discover the real meaning of God's Love. Well written and a terrific read. dg
