Book Review of The Scarlet Letters

Well-written, snappy dialogue reminiscent of _Arsenic and Old Lace_. Gives a real sense of the New York culture of the the 1940s-50s time period. The relationships, in their newly-minted stereotypes, are relatively cute and fresh (Girl Friday in love with the Playboy Detective offset by the genial Father-Knows-Best Police Inspector).
