The author is a bit grumpy at times, but in fairness, he does have 4 young children, a big dog, a hostile cat, and a traumatized chicken to deal with before the pigs come into his life. The pigs are endearing, and this book is at times very funny.

This book was also published under the title "Oink: My life with Mini-pigs".
