A nice little story for those who like Betty Neels' books like I do. It's still a man coming to the rescue but sweet.

A spiteful yet elegant family friend vies for Phoebe,our heroine's hero. Will the rival win or will George go with the village's popular pick and find Phoebe to be a treasure worth keeping?
