Portia Harding is the ultimate sceptic, with a logical explanation for everything mystical. Making her the perfect person to inherit the powers of a Virtue, allowing her to harness and control weather.

Theondre North is in need of a pardon from a Virtue in order to become a real member of the Court of Divine Blood, so he's willing to help Portia pass the trials so that she can pardon him.

The energy and passion that builds between them can only lead to one thing... faith in true love.

I love Katie MacAlister's writing... whether contemporary, historical or paranormal. Her characters are brave, clever, emotional and hilarious, as is true in this book. Not to mention Theo is a serious HOTTIE. And her storylines will keep you so engaged that although you want the hero and heroine to find a happy ending, you don't want to leave their wonderful world... this book was over too soon. But I loved every steamy, intriguing, brilliant and funny second of it!
